Volunteers
We encourage our members of the Polk County Dental Association to get out into the community and volunteer their services as a dentist and a speaker. We have listed some of the opportunities available and encourage you to sign up for any of the programs that interest you.

Give Kids a Smile
Our next Give Kids A Smile Event is to be determined.
We will need 6 volunteer dentists for the morning shift from 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 6 volunteer dentists for the afternoon shift from 11:30 a.m. – close. We will also need personal assistants, if you desire, otherwise we will have other assistants available, if needed. We ask you to Urge your Hygienist to come help as well!
We need donations in the way of anesthetics, composites, bonding agents, toothbrushes for older children, and floss. We ask that dentists bring their favorite instruments, materials, matrix system non-fiberoptic handpieces and burs if they do not want to use what is available at the school.
We will need specialists on call or available for referrals ie, oral surgeons, endodontists and periodontists.
Any office willing to host their own GKAS in their office is welcomed to do so, especially if we could have an office in the Winter Haven – Haines City area. If one is planned on a day other than Feb. 6th, Andrea Larocca would be willing to come volunteer at that location as well.
Please feel free to email Susan directly with any questions you may have andrea.larocca@polk-fl.net.
